Trade Union Certificate in Industrial Studies
A one year part-time course
This course is for all union representatives and members who are interested in contemporary industrial, economic and social issues and their impact upon the labour movement.

The course runs annually for 36 weeks (3 terms of 12 weeks each) and is available on a day release or evening basis. It consists of formal taught sessions, group work and is supported by a small group tutorial meetings. Acceptance to the Certificate is by normal application.

The development of industrial society in Britain, with specific reference to living and working conditions, the changes and improvements which have taken place since the process of industrialisation began, and the impact these changes have had upon trade union and employer's organisations;
