USING COMPUTERS
an introductory course
This is a one year course which runs from September to July. It is designed to provide
Trade Unionist with an introductory guide to using computers, beginning with practical
hands-on sessions to develop basic keyboard skills progressing in easy stages onto
word processing, databases and spreadsheets. No experience of computers is
required. Whether you have used a computer before or not this course will be of
benefit. You will be able to learn at your own pace and develop the confidence
necessary to keep up with the ever increasing relience on computers in modern
society.
The course is available to all trade union members and, due to popular demand,
is now offered on three different evenings per week and also as a Distance Learning course for students with access to a computer at home or at work. Sessions take place from 6pm to
8pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at the Park Street Centre. Just choose
the day that suits you best and apply early. Remember, the course is free to all union
members so
why pay to learn computer skills!
DISTANCE LEARNING
This course is also available as a 'Distance Learning' course for students who have access to a PC at home or at work. This can be done either by post or via e-mail and the internet. For more information contact Dave Parr on Hull 581196.
